Game day dress!

Sean's grad school selection has brought us to the SEC. One of the first things I learned about the SEC is that girls tend to dress up for football games much more than I'm used to. A little refashion of an XL U of A t-shirt I purchased at a thrift store for $2 has given me just what I needed!
Imagine the t-shirt above has a logo on it...forgot to take a before pic of this one. I just cut off the sleeves and collar of the XL t-shirt, then added casing for elastic at the top and waist.
I needed a little extra length, so I added some white jersey knit I had left over from this previous dress refashion {with a little ruffling for added cuteness}. The best part about the dress?? It's reversible!!
Pretty cute if I do say so myself! They're pretty easy to make, so if I get comments on it while tailgating the games here I'll probably offer to start making them for others. We'll see...

  2. So great! I did a similar thing with a Boston Red Sox XXL sleeveless men's tee. I took it WAY up into a cap sleeved dress. love!

  3. This warms my heart more than you know! It's so funny that you say that about SEC girls, because I was just talking to some of my grad school friends about that yesterday. I told them how much you have to dress up for the games. They didn't believe me!

  4. What a great project! Very cute, but not "out of place" for tailgating.

  7. You should DEFINITELY make these and sell them! I've spent countless hours looking online for these, but no retailer makes them for Mizzou.
