Beach Vacation 2012

We had a great time in Destin -- definitely a place I would recommend to others and I'm sure we will go back in the future. I was a little concerned that after spending time in Aruba a couple of years ago that the Florida beach would be underwhelming, but it wasn't at all! It was so nice to have extended time off with Sean (and from work!). The last time I took off from work was last August for Haiti -- which, while wonderful, was not exactly relaxing like this trip was.

We slept in, napped every day, ate lots of yummy seafood and spent much of our time enjoying the scenery. We cooked in our condo quite a bit, but we did hit up The Back Porch, Jordanos Pizza and Beach Walk Cafe while there -- all three were great. We're really thankful for the opportunity to make this trip! Sean was a road warrior and drove the entire 24 hours -- it's about a 12 hour drive one way from Fayetteville. AND he changed the brake pads and oil in my car when we got home! Love him and his servant's heart!
A couple of pictures from our condo at Sundestin Beach Resort. This was was decorated very nice and it was great to have a fully stocked kitchen for our use!

My handsome husband!

The wind was pretty crazy down by the water!

At dinner on our last night - Beach Walk Cafe. It was yummy!

Just before we tried our hand at boogie boarding. Was probably good entertainment for those watching us from the beach!

I'm a dog person -- I just think they're so fun and full of personality! Here are a few pics of some of my favorite pups. After having a small dog who doesn't shed, I'm not sure I could handle anything else -- Wyatt is a good dog, which makes owning a dog much easier!
I think Wyatt looks cute doing just about anything.

Hello from Destin!

We are having a great time! The weather has been perfect and we are soaking up both the sun and precious time together. We are pretty much lounging all day, napping, eating yummy seafood and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Destin is a neat town - growing up in a tourist area helps us decipher what is legit and what's a gimmick around here. This is our view today. You might notice we are in the shade (had a little too much fun in the sun yesterday!).

Sean Huddleston, M.S., AT-C

I was one proud wife this weekend as Sean walked across the graduation stage! He has finished his masters and for the first time since we started dating, both of us are finished with school! We had a little brunch party at our house afterwards to celebrate his accomplishment. AND -- we are headed to the beach  tomorrow just the two of us to celebrate even more!

The Fite's Gender Reveal

Our friends Adam and Heather Fite are pregnant with their first baby and last weekend they hosted a gender reveal party to tell all of their friends! She had a super cute spread of all kinds of sweets that are pink and blue.

Heather put these to-go bags out so guests could take some sweet treats home!

The soon-to-be mommy and daddy!

It's a girl! They opened the box in front of everyone and let the balloons float up. :)

You guys are going to be such great parents -- I think she already has you wrapped around her tiny little fingers!

Payton's Sip and See

Sean and I have been blessed with an awesome small group here in Fayetteville! One couple, Roger and Amanda, just had a precious little girl Payton. Our small group hosted a sip and see for Payton (she was 4 weeks early and missed the original shower date) -- it was a diaper shower and each person brought one diaper related gift for the new parents and another diaper gift we donated to a local crisis pregnancy center.

I found some printables on Pinterest that I used for decorations, then sent them home for the nursery.

Table set up before all the food got there.

I used my silhouette to cut out the 'P's then hot glued them to toothpicks to make the cupcake toppers.
